The former Hansa towns Zwolle, Hattem, Deventer and Zutphen can easily be reached (within an hour). These cities have a rich historic town centre which is definitely worth a visit. Hattem (10 km) offers many museums, like for example the Anton Pieckmuseum, the Voermanmuseum and the Bakkerijmuseum (Baker’s museum).
We also recommend to visit Castle Nijenhuis between Heinoo and Wijhe. The museum 'De Fundatie' has a wonderful fixed collection and regularly varying exhibitions.
