The history of this farmhouse is determined by the history of the castle Vosbergen. During restoration it turned out that parts of the castle date from the 15th century. During the Eighty Years’ War, at the end of the 16th century, the area around Vosbergen was a constant scene of battle. The rural estate, however, flourished during the Golden Years of the 17th century and it is rather unique that this rural estate has been preserved so well. In 1715 Alexander van Dedem Vosbergen purchased the rural estate and from this date on it has been owned by this family.
Probably, the farmhouse also dates from 1715 and until 1968 it served as farm for agriculture and stock breeding. The present owners have recently restored the buildings and the property completely and have created two guest rooms in the front of the house.
